As China hosts the largest population on the planet, it only makes sense that they would need more IP addresses to cater to all those people. “’China is the world’s largest number of internet users, but there are only 0.45 IPv4 addresses per person’” According to the Washington Post, America has 5 IP addresses per person. This puts china at a massive disadvantage when it comes to networking infrastructure. The new plan they are adopting will push to have 500 million IPv6 users by the end of 2020. With this increase the importance of understanding IPv6 is certainly going to grow over time.
