Change in Role and Continued Support

Moving on, but not away! (Posted to MISAC Connect)

Dear MISAC Members,

I hope this email finds you all well. I wanted to share an important update regarding my professional journey. As of today, I am no longer with the City of Livermore, as I have accepted a new role at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as a cybersecurity advisor. My official start date with CISA is June 5th.

In my new role, I will be working closely with critical infrastructure partners, including local governments, to provide valuable cybersecurity assistance. Although I will no longer be collaborating with you as a peer, I am delighted to inform you that I will continue to support MISAC members from my new position at the federal level.

During my time at Maze & Associates, I had the privilege of working closely with MISAC members as an external auditor since 2001. Throughout those years, I had the opportunity to establish valuable connections with many of you. Over two and a half years ago, I made the exciting transition to the City of Livermore, joining your side and becoming your peer. It has been immensely fulfilling to support and collaborate with the community in this capacity.

Now, as I embark on a new chapter, I want to emphasize that my move is not to leave, but rather to continue supporting the community from a federal level. I am eagerly looking forward to bringing my expertise and passion to my forthcoming role, and I am excited about the prospect of collaborating with all of you in this new capacity. My decision to transition to the federal level is driven by a desire to continue contributing to the betterment of local governments but from a different perspective. I firmly believe that my new role at CISA will allow me to bring valuable insights and expertise to further support and enhance the cybersecurity efforts of our community.

Please update your contact information with my new email address. I encourage you to reach out to me at this address for any cybersecurity-related inquiries, guidance, or collaborative opportunities. I am genuinely excited about this new chapter and look forward to working with you all in my coming role at CISA.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the connections and friendships I have developed with many of you throughout my years of involvement with MISAC. Your dedication and passion for serving your communities inspire me, and I am eager to continue supporting your important work from this new capacity.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at my new email address.

Warmest regards,

PS Thanks ChatGPT for your assistance with my grammar!
